“Queens of third places, masters of the second plan” is the title of a paper co-authored by Anna Pacześniak, who co-organized the “Local Government Women Leaders” conference together with the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office. The event brought together dozens of women serving as mayors, commune heads, county heads, secretaries, or treasurers at various levels of local government in Lower Silesia. At the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Wrocław, they received concise political science analyses on the specific nature of women’s functioning in local politics, took part in workshops on diplomacy, personal branding, and coping with stress related to public office, and expanded their professional networks at the intersection of public administration and academia.

Students from Lower Silesian schools and teachers from School European Clubs were the audience of a lecture by Anna Pacześniak on March 6, 2026, titled “European education between the hammer of politics and the anvil of deepfakes”, delivered during the conference “Common Europe: European education and youth civic engagement”, organized by the Lower Silesian Superintendent of Education at the Lower Silesian Film Centre. Issues of disinformation and manipulation techniques were addressed in order to strengthen critical thinking and independent reasoning.

On two Saturdays in February and one in March, Anna Pacześniak met with children aged 10–11 during political science workshops organized by the Fundacja Uniwersytet Dzieci. During classes devoted to the characteristics of European monarchies and republican systems, the children developed critical thinking skills and the ability to cooperate in an organized way with others, expanded their civic competences, and learned through a method based on questions and hands-on experience.
